We are the economic portal for the Africatown Region.
If you think about it, we are all connected. The Africatown Region is just a few miles from Mobile, and it is a Maroon community. So is the Crenshaw community in LA. The Quilombo community in Brazil, they are Maroon too. The Saramacca Tribe in Suriname and the low country of the South Carolina Geechee-Gullah community, they are Maroon too.
Each Maroon community - from Crenshaw to Suriname, from Africatown to the Quilombo in Brazil, are ready to heal and reconnect economically with one another and the diaspora. The Port of Africatown is ideally located right on the US shore so that the potential for a port of global commerce for cocoa beans from Ghana - to become a center for imports and exports from Suriname, Brazil, and African nations, becoming a cultural center of Africanism - that is the vision.
So we begin.
